Decode your beauty formula
and embrace your personal needs
  • The Decoder by CODAGE is a series of information sheets that allow you to better diagnose your needs, understand your skin’s metabolism and, above all, get to know every active ingredient in the collection.

An intelligent approach to active cosmetics that allows you to truly understand your skin and take good care of it, effectively and simply…

  • Nutri-Elements are the foundation of the CODAGE visual identity, and are «cocktail» of an average of 3 active ingredients with a synergistic action.
Most Nutri-Elements are available in 3 concentrations (3-max, 2-med, 1-min) to ensure a perfectly calibrated formula.

Given specific skin needs, nutri-elements are dosed and assembled to form a unique «codage» and to reveal the product formula.
CODAGE continually updates the composition of its Nutri-Elements based on research to offer the best in innovative active cosmetics.

  • Presentation

Intense hydration of the top layer of the skin, providing immediate, long-lasting comfort for dry skin.

  • Mechanisms of action

Formation of a non-occlusive protective film thanks to high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which :

    • prevents insensible water loss,
    • has hygroscopic properties (sponge function) and therefore allows water to be maintained on the skin surface,
    • offers additional protection to the skin against external aggressions.

Global action on the cutaneous drying thanks to the oily extract of salicorne:

    • Stimulation of the production of the components of the NMF (of which urea) and limitation of their insensible loss
    • Improvement of the cellular cohesion of the stratum corneum and reinforcement of the lipidic matrix constituting the intercorneocyte cement for a limitation of the insensible loss in water.

    [Hya]+  Salicornia Extract
[Hyb]+  Hyaluronic Acid High Molecular Weight

    [Hya]+: Salicornia Extract
The Salicorne takes its name from the Arabic "salcoran" which means "salt horn". This perennial seaside plant has been able to develop certain particular adaptation mechanisms, allowing it to grow on both low and high salt soils.

    ➔ In-Vitro :
    • Reinforcement of intercellular cohesion and lipid barrier
    • Decrease in water loss

    ➔ In-Vivo - 28j d'application :
    • Increase in hydration rate by a factor of 60 compared to placebo, after 28 days, at 1%.
    • Total inhibition of the insensible loss of urea (major component of NMF) in only 24 hours.
    • Disappearance of skin roughness due to skin dryness.

[Hyb]+: Hyaluronic Acid High Molecular Weight
This high molecular weight hyaluronic acid was obtained by fermentation of plant extracts renewable (wheat and beet). This star active ingredient forms a protective veil on the skin.

    • Retention up to 1000 times its weight in water.
    • Limitation of insensitive water losses

In addition to deep hydration, dry skin needs immediate comfort and targeted treatment of the surface stratum corneum. In fact, dry skin is characterised by a lipid deficiency that depletes the intercellular cement, making the skin membrane more permeable. This delipidation weakens the skin and makes it more sensitive to external aggressions, changes in temperature and wind.

To provide immediate comfort and hydration, three naturally occurring mechanisms in the skin must be strengthened. First, the number of so-called hygroscopic – that is, moisture-attracting and -retaining – molecules must be increased in the epidermis. Second, moisture-loss must be curbed by increasing lipid synthesis, thereby strengthening the skin’s resistance. Finally, the skin must be supported in the proper formation of a hydrolipid film.
