Decode your beauty formula
and embrace your personal needs
  • The Decoder by CODAGE is a series of information sheets that allow you to better diagnose your needs, understand your skin’s metabolism and, above all, get to know every active ingredient in the collection.

An intelligent approach to active cosmetics that allows you to truly understand your skin and take good care of it, effectively and simply…

  • Nutri-Elements are the foundation of the CODAGE visual identity, and are «cocktail» of an average of 3 active ingredients with a synergistic action.
Most Nutri-Elements are available in 3 concentrations (3-max, 2-med, 1-min) to ensure a perfectly calibrated formula.

Given specific skin needs, nutri-elements are dosed and assembled to form a unique «codage» and to reveal the product formula.
CODAGE continually updates the composition of its Nutri-Elements based on research to offer the best in innovative active cosmetics.

  • Presentation

Enhances natural skin defenses and minimizes damages caused by free radicals.

  • Mechanisms of action

➔ Protects and repairs DNA from oxidative stress.

➔ Protects and reinforces skin cells' integrity against oxidative stress.

     ➔ Protects against UV rays.

➔ Reduces the production of free radicals caused by UV rays.

➔ Activates skin's hydrating mechanisms to reinforce its primary function as protective barrier.

  • Clinical results

    [Aoa] Myrtle and Olive Extracts
    [Aob] Vitamin C
    [Aoc] Green Microalgae

    [Aoa]: Myrtle and Olive Extracts
This active ingredient is highly concentrated in powerful antioxidants such as phenolic acids and flavonoids. The myrtle is known for its antibiotic and repairing properties and the olive tree for its anti-aging preventive action. Active ingredients approved by Ecocert Greenlife

    ➔ In-Vitro :
    • 41% reduction in the oxidation of epidermal cells after photo-induced UVB oxidative stress.
    • The active ingredient is 10 times more effective than pure Vitamin E (reference molecule in the fight against oxidative stress)

    [Aob]: Vitamin C
This vitamin is a valuable ally for the skin. The form used is 3- O-Ethyl ascorbic acid, a much more stable form than pure vitamin C.

    ➔ In-Vitro :
    • 21.9% DNA protection rate
    • 33.6% reduction of damaged cells per cm after UVB irradiation
    • 44.9% reduction in free radical production after photoinduced stress
    • 100% reduction in the production of Interleukin-6, responsible for inflammation after UV exposure

    [Aoc]: Green Microalgae
This active ingredient is extracted from a single-celled green microalga culture that grows in fresh water (Scenedesmus) and survives in particularly extreme environments. Its defensive substances are extracted to constitute this active ingredient.

    ➔ In-Vitro :
    • 60% inhibition of one type of free radicals (superoxides)
    • Increases water retention by 27% 30 minutes after application
    • Boosts ATP synthesis (cellular energy) by up to 45% in an oxidative stress environment so that the cells are better protected

    ➔ In-Vivo :
    • 34% increase in hydration 8 hours after application
    • 16% reduction in wrinkles in 85% of volunteers after 56 days
    • 15% reduction in skin roughness in 70% of volunteers after 56 days

Antioxidants offer skin a way to protect itself more effectively against the destructive effects of free radicals. Our bodies naturally produce free radicals and antioxidants in equal proportions. This only becomes problematic when an imbalance occurs and the free radicals can no longer be neutralised. This imbalance, known as oxidative stress, is induced by both external factors (pollution, sun, tobacco) and internal ones (emotions, particularly stress). Being subjected to this stress will alter the skin’s cells and building blocks. This phenomenon partly explains the skin’s loss of elasticity and resistance, as well as the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots and other skin problems that come with age.

There are two solutions for fighting free radicals. The first consists of reducing the effects of oxidative stress by protecting the body (cells, proteins and DNA) against these attacks. The second consists of reinforcing the effectiveness of the skin’s antioxidant mechanisms to better neutralise and reduce the production of free radicals.
